Terms of Use

By accessing AskConsumerLaw, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service and eligibility

AskConsumerLaw provides general legal information and intake technology that may help route a request to a participating attorney or legal-service partner. You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms.

No legal advice or representation

AskConsumerLaw is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you. Site use and submission do not create an attorney-client relationship. We do not guarantee attorney availability, response, representation, recovery, or outcome.

No emergency service

AskConsumerLaw is not an emergency service. You remain responsible for protecting your safety and meeting legal deadlines. Contact emergency services or an appropriate licensed attorney directly when necessary.

Your information and communications

You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate another person. Communications and marketing contact occur only under the consent terms presented with the form. Consent is not required to obtain goods or services. Our Privacy Policy describes data practices.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, interfere with security, submit unlawful or malicious content, probe systems without permission, automate abusive requests, or use content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

Intellectual property

The site’s original software, branding, and presentation are owned by or licensed to AskConsumerLaw and protected by applicable law. These terms do not transfer ownership. Legal sources and third-party materials remain subject to their own rights.

Third-party services and links

Attorneys, legal-service partners, consent vendors, hosting providers, and linked sites are independent third parties. Their services and decisions are governed by their own terms, and AskConsumerLaw does not control their availability or professional judgment.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Laws vary, information may become outdated, and interruptions may occur. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskConsumerLaw disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Jurisdictions that do not allow a limitation may limit its effect.

Indemnification and termination

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims caused by your unlawful misuse or material violation of these terms. We may suspend access to protect users, systems, or legal rights.

Governing terms requiring confirmation

Governing law, venue, business-entity identity, and notice address require owner and legal-counsel confirmation before production approval. No arbitration or class-action waiver is included because it has not been expressly approved.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms; the review date identifies the current version. Questions may be sent to info@askconsumerlaw.com.
