Privacy Policy
This policy explains how AskConsumerLaw handles information when you use our legal guides or submit a legal request.
Information we collect
Case forms may collect your legal issue, narrative, urgency, incident date, location, vertical-specific answers, name, email, phone number, ZIP code, preferred contact method, consent choices, and TrustedForm or equivalent consent evidence. We may also collect landing-page, referral, campaign, device, cookie, and basic usage information.
How we use information
- Validate, classify, store, review, and route requests where an authorized destination exists.
- Communicate about a submission and honor contact choices.
- Prevent duplicate or abusive submissions and maintain security.
- Understand privacy-safe demand patterns and improve our services.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Full narratives and contact details are not intended for analytics systems.
Storage and service providers
Our planned intake architecture uses Supabase-hosted database services to process and store intake records, with contact information separated from classification and status data where practical. Other vendors may provide hosting, consent evidence, communications, security, and operational support. Service providers may process information only for their authorized functions.
Participating providers and partners
When you complete required consent and an authorized route exists, we may share relevant submission and contact information with participating attorneys, legal-service partners, or routing vendors so they can evaluate the request. Submission does not guarantee that anyone will accept or respond. We do not claim information is never shared.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for operational, legal, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping needs, then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to legal holds and partner obligations. Specific production retention periods require owner and legal review before deployment. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion; applicable law may provide exceptions.
Security limitations
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the information. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. Do not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, complete financial account numbers, or full records through these forms.
Cookies, analytics, and choices
Cookies and similar technologies may support site operation, attribution, security, and aggregate measurement. Browser settings may limit cookies. You may opt out of marketing communications using the instructions in a message or by contacting us. Consent to marketing is not required to obtain goods or services.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live and applicable thresholds, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about disclosures, and to appeal certain decisions. We will verify and respond to qualifying requests as required by applicable law. This statement does not assert that every state law applies to AskConsumerLaw.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as services or legal requirements change. The review date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to info@askconsumerlaw.com. A physical notice address and confirmed controller entity require owner or counsel approval before production.
